Lead Cook – 34° North Restaurant at the Beaufort Hotel

The 34° North Restaurant located inside the Beaufort Hotel is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Cook to join our culinary team. This position plays an important role in supporting kitchen operations, maintaining food quality standards, and helping deliver an exceptional dining experience for both hotel guests and local patrons.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, leads by example, and takes pride in food quality, consistency, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and restaurant standards
• Ensure food quality, consistency, portioning, and presentation standards are maintained
• Properly label, date, and rotate food products according to sanitation and food safety procedures
• Assist with kitchen organization, prep work, and station setup
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout kitchen and prep areas
• Follow all safety and sanitation standards at all times
• Cook orders accurately while accommodating guest requests and dietary needs when applicable
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and maintaining proper pars to support smooth kitchen operations
• Monitor kitchen equipment and report maintenance concerns as needed
• Support and assist fellow kitchen associates during service periods
• Help maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen environment

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or lead cook experience required
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills
• Dependable attendance and positive attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation

• Competitive pay based on experience
• $250 sign-on bonus offered after successfully completing 30 days of employment. Bonus will be included in your paycheck following the completion of the 30-day period.
