Maintenance Technician 2 – Beaufort Hotel

The Beaufort Hotel is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team. This position plays an important role in maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the hotel while helping provide a positive experience for guests and associates.

We are looking for someone with strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on maintenance experience, and a team-oriented attitude who takes pride in maintaining high hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back of house spaces
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and mechanical equipment
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and work orders in a timely manner
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and operational issues
• Maintain hotel grounds and assist with upkeep of exterior areas as needed
• Identify and report safety concerns or larger repair needs
• Assist with painting, carpentry, drywall, and general building repairs
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner
• Follow all hotel safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
• Support other departments and hotel operations as needed

Qualifications

• Previous hotel maintenance or general maintenance experience required
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment or supplies as needed
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays when necessary
• Dependable attendance and strong teamwork skills

Compensation

• $18.00 – $20.00 per hour depending on experience
