Divisional VP of Commercial Services

The Divisional Vice President (VP) of Commercial Services is a strategic leader responsible for driving top-line revenue, market share growth, brand positioning, and digital performance across a multi-property hospitality portfolio. This role oversees Sales, Revenue Management, Distribution, Digital Marketing, and Commercial Analytics functions to ensure fully integrated, data-driven commercial strategies that maximize profitability and long-term asset value.

The Divisional Vice President partners closely with Operations, Sales, Digital Marketing, Revenue Management, Brand, and Ownership stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy & Leadership for the division:

  • Develop and execute an integrated commercial strategy aligning Sales, Revenue Management, and Digital Marketing.
  • Lead market segmentation, pricing strategy, channel optimization, and demand generation initiatives.
  • Drive RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, direct booking share, and total revenue growth.
  • Identify new revenue streams and commercial partnerships.
  • Translate business objectives into measurable commercial KPIs.

Sales Leadership:

  • Oversee group, corporate, leisure, and catering sales strategies.
  • Direct account management, prospecting initiatives, and pipeline development.
  • Build strategic partnerships and key client relationships.
  • Implement performance management frameworks and sales productivity tools.
  • Support new openings, repositioning’s, and market expansions.

Revenue Management & Distribution:

  • Lead pricing, forecasting, and inventory optimization strategies.
  • Ensure sophisticated yield management practices across all properties.
  • Optimize channel mix, OTA partnerships, GDS, and brand.com performance.
  • Drive data-backed decision-making through advanced analytics and reporting.
  • Oversee RMS implementation and innovation initiatives.

Digital Marketing & E-Commerce:

  • Direct digital acquisition strategies including SEO, SEM, paid media, and metasearch.
  • Oversee website performance, UX optimization, and conversion rate improvements.
  • Manage CRM strategy, email marketing, loyalty activation, and guest lifecycle campaigns.
  • Leverage marketing automation and personalization tools.
  • Aligning digital campaigns with sales and revenue goals to maximize ROI.

Data, Analytics & Performance Management:

  • Establish commercial dashboards and forecasting tools.
  • Monitor KPIs to include RevPAR Index, Market Share Index, direct booking contribution, CPA, and digital ROI.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and market trend analysis.
  • Lead quarterly and annual commercial reviews with ownership and executive stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Culture:

  • Collaboration with VPs and General Managers to ensure sales and marketing efforts align with operational capabilities.
  • Build and mentor high-performing commercial teams.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Revenue, and Marketing.
  • Champion innovation, agility, and accountability.
  • Attract and retain top commercial talent.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality commercial functions.
  • Must exhibit strong brand revenue system competencies and acumen.
  • Proven success overseeing multi-property or regional portfolios.
  • Deep expertise in sales strategy, revenue optimization, digital marketing, and distribution.
  • Strong financial acumen with P&L oversight experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive measurable revenue growth.
  • Experience with RMS, CRM, digital advertising platforms, and commercial analytics tools.
  • Executive presence with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

Pay range: $187,234 - $210,639
