Description

The Safety Specialist will assist the Human Resources department by managing safety related initiatives, programs and committee’s which may also include general safety related administrative duties, which may be complex and often confidential.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute and communicate all annual Global Safety Month initiatives to completion.

  • Participate in developing and implementing safety and training programs alongside the Corporate Director of Associate Relations.

  • Create and communicate accident alerts to all Concord users.

  • Schedule and host quarterly Global Safety Committee meetings and follow through to completion on assigned tasks.

  • Manage Worker’s Compensation Claims including DART (Days Away, Restricted or Transferred) reports, claims review in collaboration with the Corporate Director of Associate Relations.

  • Maintain, update, and create Safety COPs on an annual basis or whenever needed.

  • Maintain and support safety policies, reports, procedures, and programs.

  • Ensure quarterly loss numbers for bonus purposes are accurate and uploaded by the deadline.
  • Schedule and co-host if needed Quarterly Regional Risk Review Report and distribute updated reports as required.

  • Create and implement the Safety Scorecard spreadsheet and presentation, be prepared to co-host the meeting when needed.

  • Ensure information on associate files after the transition or opening of hotels as needed.
  • Communicate and post safety announcements on the Safety and Risk Page.
  • Ensure all hotels OSHA logs are compliant and uploaded/submitted annually by the deadline.

  • Create and post online safety reminders weekly on internal social media platforms.

  • Create new Ohio BWC and Canadian Worker’s Compensation accounts as new hotels enter the portfolio.

  • Ensure all Pennsylvania state-based hotels are uploading their monthly safety meeting required documents. Manage communications with hotels not in compliance monthly.

  • Review and process all Shoes for Crews invoices, ensure hotels requests for Fit-Kits are received and communicate with the service team.
  • Assist when needed in preparing for corporate leadership training programs.
  • Prepare materials needed for the transition of hotels and the opening of new hotels as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data.

Pay Range:$21.55 - $24.23
