OUR ROLE

We are seeking an engaging, approachable and service-oriented Assistant Front Office Manager to assist guests efficiently, courteously and professionally, while maintaining high standards of service and hospitality. Top candidates will bring a high level of enthusiasm and passion for service excellence along with a keen ability to develop a team of top performers focused on consistently delivering our Michelin Key service.

Key accountabilities include:

Consistently provide the highest quality of service to our guests and associates alike, setting a shining example for our team.

Assist associates in understanding guests’ ever-changing needs and expectations and how to exceed them.

Ensure the delivery of excellent service by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit through active communication, training, and coaching.

Take proactive approach when dealing with guest concerns. Follow property specific second effort and recovery plan.

Publish all GSS results in a timely manner including all GSS forms, comment cards and guest letters. Solicit feedback for continuous improvement.

Respond to all guest complaints and issues in a timely manner.

Ensure Continuous Improvement meetings are taking place weekly.

Create and build an environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, and teamwork.

Understand AOS/GSS results, developing a game plan to areas in need and expand on the strengths.

Set clear expectations for the team. Ensure that the team has the capabilities to meet and exceed those expectations.

Conduct monthly reward programs.

Make sure that staffing levels are appropriate to exceed guest expectations.

Ensure effective departmental communication and information systems through logs, department meetings and hotel meetings.

Promote teamwork as a strong component of the daily service culture.

Follow all safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.

Have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.

YOUR STORY

A seasoned professional with a minimum of two years of experience in a Front Office or Duty Manager role.

A Hospitality program graduate or degree holder.

Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to safety.

Someone who has solid leadership skills, adept at training, coaching and motivating a team.

An exceptional problem-solver, knowing how to troubleshoot and resolve situations efficiently.

Agile, able to shift priorities as needed, including handling guest or associate situations that may occur outside of typical work hours, covering shifts as necessary.

Excellent working knowledge of PMS systems.

Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

An excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.

Able to combine strategic planning and day-to-day management.

Physically able to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, crouch, and lift or carry objects up to 40 pounds or more.
