Purchasing/Receiving Lead

Job Description:

The purchasing/Receiving Lead is responsible for effectively managing the daily receiving operations of the hotel, including accurate processing of all invoices during the receiving process, accurately documenting count and discrepancy if any. With a focus on the F&B department, the Purchasing Lead will oversee the timely distribution of all temperature sensitive product and provide exceptional customer service to delivery staff, and hotel personnel. The Lead will provide guidance to receiving clerks, and maintain a safe and productive workflow.

The purchasing lead will assist the Purchasing Manager with inventory count storage room and requisition process for F&B department; alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, dry goods, disposables, chemicals and C02. The Lead confirms all daily invoices and completes data entry into the One Source system accurately and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing receiving and lead all shipments, including food, non food items, UPS/FedEx, Amazon, USPS packages, adding daily into the receiving log and securing if necessary to prevent damage or theft.
• Handling and Storage of all packages according to size and instructions, paying careful attention to temperature sensitive items.
• Invoice management including signing off on invoices, turning in all invoices to Purchasing Manager, documenting any discrepancies, and entering data into One Source.
• Follows specific instruction from Purchasing Manager for all alcohol related product, allocation, and secure placement.
• Ensures compliance with corporate policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Oversees shipment of items, scheduling pick up and documenting.
• Additional duties will be assigned to the Lead depending on the daily schedule per business needs.
