Description
A Swim Instructor is responsible for teaching swimming skills, water safety, and proper stroke techniques to students of all ages and skill levels. This role combines strong communication, patience, and technical expertise to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Teach swimming lessons to individuals or groups following established curriculum and safety standards
Demonstrate proper swimming techniques, including floating, kicking, breathing, and stroke mechanics
Assess students’ abilities and tailor instruction to meet their skill level and learning pace
Maintain constant supervision to ensure a safe aquatic environment
Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students build confidence
Communicate progress and concerns with parents, guardians, or facility staff
Enforce pool rules and respond appropriately to emergencies
Prepare lesson plans and track student attendance and skill development
Inspect equipment and pool areas for safety and cleanliness
