We are hiring an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager for our NEW Restaurant Opening January 2026!

Cork & Crust at The Oaklander Hotel is Pittsburgh’s newest culinary destination — where curated wines meet wood-fired pizza, modern design, and thoughtful hospitality. As we prepare to open our doors, we are searching for a Food and Beverage Supervisor to help lead our team, support daily operations, and bring our guest experience to life.

Our restaurant, lounge, and event spaces play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our external and internal guests. With the right team in place focused on quality, timeliness, and genuine hospitality Cork & Crust will quickly become one of Pittsburgh’s top dining destinations.

About the Role

The Assistant F&B Manager supports the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service, strong communication, and consistent service standards. This role partners closely with the F&B Leadership Team to guide staff, uphold brand expectations, and create memorable experiences for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the front-of-house team throughout service, modeling Cork & Crust’s hospitality standards.
  • Oversee dining room and bar operations, including pacing, table management, and guest flow.
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and continuous development of servers, bartenders, and support staff
  • Support beverage and food knowledge development, including wine education and menu familiarity.
  • Ensure all service stations, bar areas, and guest spaces are organized, clean, and service ready.
  • Support inventory counts, restocking, and operational checklists.
  • Communicate effectively with BOH and management to maintain seamless operations.
  • Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, warmth, and thoughtful service recovery.
  • Assist with opening/closing procedures and daily operational execution.
  • Writes and presents disciplinary action as needed.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, weekly BEO meetings with sales, weekly food and beverage meetings.
  • Passionate to help in all areas of food service and as needed in other areas of the hotel.

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to stay organized, calm, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for wine, food, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.
