ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY
We are in search of a dynamic leader for the position of Assistant Front of House Manager, responsible for working collaboratively with the food & beverage leadership team to maintain the vision, culture and success of the restaurant, consistently providing a seamless dining experience for all customers, ensuring the highest level of service excellence and hospitality, according to brand and company standards.
Primary accountabilities include:
- Consistently provide the highest quality of service to our customers and staff alike, setting a shining example for our team.
- Supervise front of house staff including servers, hosts, and bartenders to ensure efficient service.
- Train and mentor team members in customer service best practices and food safety standards.
- Help manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize customer flow and satisfaction.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly to enhance the dining experience.
- Collaborate with culinary team to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar, and waiting areas.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicating needs to Restaurant General Manager.
- Assist in the planning and execution of special events or promotions to attract new customers.
- Maintain and enforce sanitation standards and procedures, complying with health and legal regulations.
- Work to support the department, including when not fully staffed, assisting when necessary.
- Be on the floor during all meal periods and ensure adequate coverage.
- Model and teach empowerment principles to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist with driving customer service initiatives and satisfaction.
- Follow all safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, ensuring team participation.
ABOUT YOU
- A seasoned professional with a minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a large, upscale Restaurant operation in a downtown city center.
- Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to safety.
- Someone who has solid leadership skills, adept at training, coaching and motivating a team of culinary professionals.
- An exceptional problem-solver, knowing how to troubleshoot and resolve situations efficiently, with the ability to shift priorities as needed, including handling customer or staff situations.
- Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.
- Someone with great knowledge in wine, beverages and bartending practices.
- Physically able to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, crouch, and lift or carry objects up to 40 pounds or more.
