WHO are we looking for, you may ask?
We are in search of warm, friendly, courteous, and professional Night Auditors. Working at the front desk means you are the hub of the hotel. Your role is key to the overall experience the guests will have. Your keen sense of being proactive, responsive and caring will make all the difference. If you enjoy engaging with others, working overnight shifts, providing leadership and have a high sense of responsibility, including proficiency with numbers, we want to meet you!
Key accountabilities include:
- Always provide the highest quality of service to our guests, greeting and welcoming them upon their arrival, registering them into the computer, verifying reservations, addresses, and credit information.
- Reconcile and complete all daily front office work.
- Run night audit procedures in front office system.
- Accept payment for guests’ accounts both at the time of registration and checkout.
- Maintain an accurate report of receipts and deposits.
- Post miscellaneous charges as required.
- Answer telephones in a timely and professional manner.
- Accept and create reservations utilizing the standards set by the reservation department.
- Know and effectively run all emergency procedures overnight, including contacting key managers.
- Perform nightly accounting and financial tasks, including balancing and reconciling all accounts.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial reports to management.
- Ensure daily revenues and settlements are in balance.
- Ensure all credit card transactions are recorded correctly and reconciled with POS.
- Ensure handling of credit card reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Be knowledgeable in Marriott Bonvoy rewards program and promotions.
- Keep lobby and desk area clean and presentable.
- Offer and properly handle requests for wake up calls.
- Communicate with incoming staff and management by logging pertinent information in the pass on log.
- Practice safety standards at all times, leading by example.
WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, ARE YOU …
- An experienced professional with a minimum of one year of experience as a Night Auditor, Supervisor or Team Lead in a similar sized hotel property.
- A Hospitality or Tourism program graduate or degree holder.
- Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, and a strong commitment to Safety.
- Someone with excellent mathematical ability with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Someone who places priority on providing guests with the best possible experiences, going above and beyond to ensure total satisfaction and guest loyalty.
- An exceptional problem-solver, knowing how to troubleshoot and resolve situations efficiently.
- Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
- An excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.
- Able to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically able to frequently stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crouch, and lift or carry objects up to 40 pounds or more.
