Description

Accommodate guests by opening doors and assisting with luggage or other heavy items.

Direct traffic in the parking area as needed and assist guests in entering and leaving the parking area.

Collect and accurately label keys belonging to guests to ensure their proper return.

Park guests' vehicles in predetermined areas within the parking lot, following all traffic laws.

Operate vehicles safely and responsibility.

Maintain lobby, front door, bell stand, and luggage room cleanliness and order.

Markets the entire hotel when rooming a guest.

Maintains complete knowledge of hotel amenities and layout, local attractions, and airport transportation.

Reads log book daily.

Keeps up-to-date on in-house groups and functions.

Issues proper luggage tags, stores bags properly, cross-reference when issuing.

Maintains vehicle maintenance records properly.

Ensures deliveries/luggage are brought to correct rooms.

“Posts up” - demonstrating a readiness to help.

Facilitates prompt handling of guest luggage and needs during peak periods.

Assists in the maintenance upkeep of the bell closet and carts.

Works systematically so as not to lose luggage.

Operates bell carts with care, so as not to damage property or cause injury.

Deliver guest valet laundry in a prompt manner.

Able to accurately give directions and information regarding the immediate and metro areas.

Reports tips daily.

Is a positive thinker and company driven.

Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures.

Ensures that all checklists and responsibilities are completed by the end of shift.

Our Story

“…it is a capital enterprise located in a capital building…and I trust will prove a capital success…”

These words, we lovingly refer to as the first Capital Idea, inspired the birth of a hotel that has remained Little Rock’s “front porch” for 140 years. Since the 1876 debut many other Capital Ideas have found their way into the hotel through numerous renovations and the most recent full restoration completed in 2007. The culmination is the uncompromising comfort and convenience of a modern luxury hotel without any compromise of its rare historic character.

The inspiration for our customer service is our dedication to personal attention and care often found when visiting friends and family. Instead of rehearsed scenarios, guests are personally greeted, welcomed, and immersed in an approach to service we call Southern Comfortable.
