Role Summary:

• Complete laundry duties while supervising Laundry Attendants and daily tasks and operations, in support of the Housekeeping Department.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and direct daily workflow of laundry operations for maximum production.
• Work alongside Laundry Attendants (including and not limited to emptying laundry chute, sorting linen, washing, drying, and folding).
• Operate equipment necessary to sort, weigh, wash, dry, iron, fold, and package hotel linen.
• Perform cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products assigned.
• Pick up from and deliver to guest rooms/floors linen which is in need of cleaning or has been cleaned.

• Maintain an acceptable state of cleanliness and organization throughout the entire work area.

• Participate in training and development of laundry staff.

• Assist in other areas of Housekeeping as needed (for example cleaning rooms or public areas).

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Ability to work efficiently and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time.
• Ability to work in high temperatures indoors.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push/pull carts and equipment (weighing up to 250 pounds) frequently.
• Prior experience in Laundry or Housekeeping Department, preferably in a lead or supervisory role.
• Flexible availability is required, including weekends.

Compensation:

• The starting pay for this position is $18.00 per hour.
