Description

The Convention Services Manager (CSM) is responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of group meetings, conferences, banquets, and special events at South Shore Harbour Resort. This role serves as the primary liaison between clients, the sales team, and resort operations to ensure seamless event delivery, exceptional guest satisfaction, and achievement of revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all details of convention, group, and social events from contract turnover through post-event follow-up.
  • Conduct pre-conference meetings with clients and department leaders to confirm logistics, timelines, menus, and room setups.
  • Create detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and distribute them to all relevant departments.
  • Supervise event setup and execution, ensuring service standards and client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Serve as on-site contact for clients responding promptly to requests and resolving any issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, corporate clients, and social event hosts.
  • Provide consultative support on event design, décor, and technical needs to enhance client satisfaction and event quality.
  • Follow up post-event to review outcomes, gather feedback, and encourage repeat business.
  • Upsell resort amenities, upgrades, and services to maximize profitability.
  • Partner closely with culinary, banquet, AV, and front office teams to ensure operational excellence.
  • Communicate event details clearly and proactively across departments.
  • Participate in weekly BEO meetings and staff briefings to review upcoming events.

  • Proficiency with event management software (e.g., Delphi) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work occasional nights & weekends as required by event demands
