Our success and growth in just over one year of operation has provided the opportunity to expand our Sales Team at The Ben!  As a new destination for luxury travel in Palm Beach County, we are adding a new role of Luxury Travel Sales Manager to work with our existing clients and help us grow our business further!

The ideal individual will be able to develop and foster partnerships with worldwide travel agencies in the luxury travel segment.. The position is designed to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction to luxury agencies and their arriving VIP guests to ensure recognition of The Ben as a preferred lodging choice in Palm Beach County and repeat business.  In addition to maintaining existing business, this position will be responsible for finding new luxury business and saturating existing accounts provided through partnerships with Marriott and the Luminous Travel Program as well as Frosch.  This role will take calls from agencies to schedule incoming travel, work with hotel guest services and hotel concierge to provide a welcome experience for the guest, greeting inhouse guest to ensure satisfaction and understand/acknowledge lodging needs and special requests, and follow up with agencies to provide guest feedback in a proactive and informative manner

The day-to-day*

  • Provide the highest levels of customer service to internal partners and external clients at all times.

    Respond in a quick, timely, and professional manner to all internal partners and external customers, and deliver clear and

    concise communiqué that is representative of Concord Hospitality via all avenues of communication.

  • Create relationships with Luxury Travel Agencies as the key contact at hotel for travel needs.
  • Participate in all Marriott Luminous and Frosch training calls, quarterly focus calls and online training to be up to date on offerings, promotions, and updated amenities.
  • Prearrival welcome calls to all VIP arrivals to confirm arrival times, special needs.  Provide all collected data to hotel concierge to provide seamless guest service
  • Strategically review incoming travelers through noted programs and confirm arrangements are secure for requested lodging needs, special requests and that hotel has VIP welcome scheduled for arrival.
  • Work with hotel Marketing Manager to create electronic incentives to distribute to Luxury Travel Agencies to build business and highlight need times.
  • Build  base of travel through utilization of various travel markets (NE United States, UK, Latin America, etc) to  provide sold base of luxury segment travel throughout the calendar year.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, self-motivation and proactive planning, and endeavor to be organizationally savvy with a keen focus on detail.
  • Maintain existing assigned accounts/segments, and work diligently to develop new business for hotel.
  • Effectively work with a supporting team of coordinators and Event Experience Managers to bring your group event to life.
  • Willingness to cross sell any area of hotel requested in lieu of absent or open roles (ie: corporate, association, social blocks)
  • Consistently attain sales activity goals and individual revenue goals including -- but not limited to -- proactive and reactive

    calls, tours and appointments required for this position, as outlined by Concord, your RVPSM, and your supervisor.

  • Learn and use digital sales systems and conceptual sales processes (i.e. CI/TY, Lightspeed, Empower), sales call process, etc.) and understand the hotel’s sales strategies (i.e. Marketing Plan, rates, budgeted goals, etc.). Implement these tools and resources in order to accomplish individual and team goals and efficiently complete job duties.

  • Sense of urgency to handle high call and email volume of interested clients requesting pricing with often short turn time.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Prior experience preferred. A two-year degree in hospitality management (or equivalent) required. Prefer candidate that has Marriott experience (CI/TY) but will train the right candidate.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
