Concord Hospitality is currently seeking an experienced Marriott General Manager to lead our team at our Renaissance Hotel in the new Westar Place Corporate Park in Westerville Ohio. This growing suburb of Columbus Ohio has seen incredible growth in both corporate and residential developments. Located just off I-71 this newly opened “Polaris area” hotel is a destination for various corporate and leisure groups. The Renaissance Westerville is a 224 room hotel featuring a full service restaurant with room service as well as 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Westar Place Corporate Park has about 2.2 million square feet of office space and in an area referred to as “Medical Mile” due to the excessive amounts of medical facilities nearby including Mount Carmel and St. Ann’s Hospitals. In all the Westar Business Park includes 8941 acres of land developed or soon to develop.
The Ideal Candidate
Are you organized, detailed oriented and able to choose, lead and motivate a team? Do you possess great sales and networking skills to assist a sales & marketing team to launch a successful first year ramp? Do you possess the proven ability to drive GSS? Hire, mentor and lead a team to outstanding results? And have the hands on ability to deliver outstanding financial results? This may be the role for you! The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in full service hotel operations in either Renaissance or Marriott MHRS or equivalent plus possess a strong background in food & beverage catering and events and fine dining as well. This hotel opened May 2018.
Being a Concord GM
As a General Manager you will be instrumental in hiring and developing an award winning management team supporting our company’s mission statement and embracing our cornerstones. You will be the liaison with Marriott, our owners and with Concord is facilitating a successful ramp through orchestrating brand training, meeting operational deadlines on project timeliness, providing attention to detailed first year operations, meeting budget guidelines, and networking with city officials as the “face” of this exciting emerging brand.
General Manager Job Summary: Administers, directs and controls all the operations of the hotel. Accountable for achieving budgeted revenues and profit margins while in accordance with established objectives, policies, and procedures. Our GM’s are active leaders and are highly involved in guest interaction, associate engagement in training and motivation, as well as serve as role models for our company in the community through involvement in city organizations and networking.
