Concord Hospitality is currently seeking an experienced Director of Sales to oversee the Sales and Marketing Department of our new 226 room beautiful Cambria Hotel coming to Downtown Houston in July 2019! The new hotel will occupy the current 21 story Great Southwest Building – a long historic landmark in the center of Downtown which was originally built in 1927 and features unique Art Deco Décor accents through the buildings architecture.  

The ideal candidate MUST HAVE extensive experience in select service hotel sales operations with a strong background in BT and leisure sales, experience in opening a hotel and prior experience in both the Choice and Delphi operating systems.

DOS JOB SUMMARY: Develop and foster hotel business through direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, and tours of hotel. This is an advanced level position designed to lead a sales office in the solicitation of new and maintenance of existing transient, group, and meeting room business.  The Director of Sales is responsible for all sales/marketing and advertising tasks, public relations and administrative reporting. As an opening hotel, the DOS will be the liaison with Choice to manage all sales and marketing opening checklists and to network with National Sales and local accounts to set up our client base including RFP’s and annual contracts.  The opening DOS will screen and hire the opening sales team, develop partnerships with the local Houston Visitors Bureau and other destination partners, and assist the General Manager in completing a successful, timely and profitable hotel opening.

Post Opening our Director of Sales lead this department through attention to revenue maximization, building and retaining strong business relationships with our clients, fostering a training and development culture in sales to grow the sales team professionally, involvement in our community through charitable outreach, and serve as the support to the General Manager in embracing the Concord Culture for our associates and visiting guests.
